If you have some reason to think there is an issue with boost leak, you should do a leak test. If you still have reason to believe there is a leak even after a leak test has been confirmed to hold pressure, you should go about eliminating any possible variables until you are either satisfied that no leak exists or a leak is found. So, start with a leak test. If you need help past that, feel free to ask. Now, the safety rant: You should always be using some sort of aftermarket boost gauge if the boost is raised at all for safety reasons. It may or may not help in identifying a leak (depends on the leak's size and your ability to notice a change), but it will ensure you aren't overboosting the car and risking lean conditions. Of course, a fuel pressure gauge is equally important for safety. But, personally, I'd want a wideband O2 sensor (or two) as well. That way you'll have a pretty good chance of catching any fuel and air related issues before you toast the motor.
